Terms of sale for OptionsCone Pro
1. Seller and provider
OptionsCone Pro is sold through Link, a service of Stripe, which acts as reseller and merchant of record. Link handles the payment, the invoice, sales tax and VAT, and questions about payments. Link's terms apply to the payment. The software, the licence and support are provided by (see the legal notice above).
2. Plans and prices
OptionsCone Pro is a subscription, either monthly (19.90 USD) or yearly (189 USD). Depending on where you live, sales tax or VAT is either included or added at checkout; the checkout shows the final amount in your currency before you pay. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until it is cancelled.
3. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current period: in OptionsCone under Pro → Manage subscription, with the link Cancel subscription here at the bottom of every page, through your Link account at link.com, or by email to us. Pro keeps working until the paid period ends.
4. Delivery and use
After payment you receive a licence key on the confirmation page. Entering the key in OptionsCone downloads and installs Pro. One key can be used on up to two of your own computers. Pro checks the licence over the internet at least every five days; without a valid licence the Pro functions stop until the next successful check. The use of the software is governed by the licence terms shipped with OptionsCone (LICENSE file).
5. Refunds
Consumers in the EU and the UK can withdraw from their purchase within 14 days (see the right of withdrawal below). Apart from that, payments are not refunded, including for a change of mind or an unused period, unless the law requires it; your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected. Duplicate or unauthorised charges are refunded. When a payment is refunded, the subscription ends and Pro stops working.
6. Changes and availability
OptionsCone is developed further; functions may be added, improved or changed. Market data comes from third-party sources and can be delayed, incomplete or unavailable.
7. Not financial advice, liability
OptionsCone shows estimates. They are not forecasts, recommendations or financial advice. Liability is governed by the licence terms; liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, remains unaffected.
8. Applicable law
German law applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which you live remain unaffected.
Right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU and the UK
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you can withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the day you received access to OptionsCone Pro, without giving any reason. To do so, contact Link's customer support at support.link.com and give “withdrawal period” as the reason for your refund request, as set out in Link's terms. You can also write to us. After a withdrawal the payment is refunded in full, the subscription ends and Pro stops working.

This website
The website is hosted by GitHub Pages (GitHub Inc., USA). To deliver the pages, GitHub processes your IP address and technical request data and may keep them in server logs. Visits are counted with GoatCounter, which sets no cookies and stores no personal data; it counts page, referrer, screen size and country. Fonts are loaded from this website, not from third parties.
The app
OptionsCone downloads market data from your computer directly from its sources, such as Yahoo Finance; we receive none of it. Everything you download stays on your computer.
When you activate or renew Pro, the app sends your licence key and an anonymous machine identifier (a one-way hash, from which your computer cannot be identified) to our licence server, which runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Inc., USA). The server stores the key, the machine identifier and the dates of activation and last check, to limit a key to two computers. It processes your IP address only to answer the request.
At each start, OptionsCone asks the same server whether a newer version is available. It sends the installed version and edition, the anonymous machine identifier and, for Pro, the licence key, so that only a running subscription is offered the Pro version. Nothing of this is stored, except that a download link you use is recorded.
Purchase
The payment is handled by Link / Stripe as merchant of record, under its own privacy policy. From Stripe we receive and store the status of your subscription, its end date and the email address you entered, linked to your licence key, to keep the licence valid and to answer support requests.
Legal basis, storage, your rights
The data is processed to perform the contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and, for the website, on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure and working site (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Licence data is kept while the subscription runs and deleted when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Some providers named above are in the USA; transfers are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
You have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. Write to the email address in the legal notice.
